Warung Tekko, Beef Ribs specialist - Surabaya

Tempat ini judulnya warung, tapi sebetulnya tempatnya nyaman dan ber AC, agak lucu karena suasana resto tapi judul warung.
Lokasinya di daerah timur Surabaya, dekat resto Boncafe dan menjual makanan tradisional indonesia, penyetan dan kawan-kawan. Terletak di daerah Timur Surabaya, dekat resto Boncafe dan supermarket Bonnet. Ada dua resto yang serupa di sini, Tekko dan Leko, entah mana yang meniru yang mana. Tapi jelas mirip sekali.


 This Particular Restaurant, diner... err...stall?
They named them self warung, but it's more of a middle class restaurant which is housed in an home office setting. Located in East Surabaya, next to the famous Boncafe restaurant, this is a traditional Indonesian eatery, there's two of this eateries that really look alike, Tekko and Leko. I'm not sure which one copies the other :D.

Salah satu yang menarik dari tempat ini adalah penggunaan aksesori jendela dengan pemandangan buatan (poster) yang menciptakan kesan outdoor, padahal di balik jendela itu sebetulnya dinding bata.
Sentuhan yang menarik untuk menambah kualitas suasana restoran.

The interesting thing about the place is they use a fake window, instead of a view, they put a picture poster along the window, to create an outdoor ambiance. It's an interesting way to create a better ambiance which improves the quality of the place.

Tekko - Pecel Iga Sapi / Beef Ribs Rice & vegetable with peanut sauce

Kesempatan kali ini saya mencoba Pecel Iga Sapi.
Rasanya lumayan enak, lezat dan gurih. Sayangnya partner makan saya kali ini tidak kuat sama sekali dengan makanan yang pedas, jadi saya hari itu jadi recycle bin untuk menghabiskan pecel ini

On this visit I tried a Pecel Iga Sapi, which is a beef ribs with rice and vegetables, served with peanut sauce. It taste quite nice, but my partner in crime this time, didn't have any tolerance for spicy food, so I ended up eating most of the dish.

Tekko - Terong Penyet / Fried eggplant with chili

Terong penyet ini yang saya pesan sendiri, tampilannya menarik dan rasanya enak. Lezat dan gorengannya sip tenan. Terong kadang kalau agak kacau proses menggorengnya bisa soggy alias bajir minyak, yang kali ini kering dan gurih, tidak ada keluhan sama sekali.

This eggplant is the highlight of my meal, it looked nice, tastes nice and quite cheap. Sometime when an eggplant is fried the wrong way, there's good probability that it'll be soggy and oily. This one is nice and crunchy, no complain whatsoever.

Tekko - Kacang Kuah / Sweet Peanut Soup

Kacang kuahnya sayangnya tidak seenak hidangan lain, terlalu hambar dan encer, beda dengan selera saya yang biasanya menyukai kacang kuah agak kental dan kaya rasa.


The Sweet Peanut soup / Kacang kuah is a dessert, it's usually thicker and richer in flavor. This one is a bit bland and runny, not suitable for my taste. Everything else is nice though.
