Di
sepanjang jalan Sumatra, ada dua tempat menarik dengan konsep makan fine dining
yang menggoda, Isola dan De Soematra. Saya sempat dari tahun 2012 ingin
mengunjunginya, tapi baru sempat sekarang, malah setelah dietnya berubah
vegetarian T_T
Untungnya ada co blogger yang siap menyantap segala macam daging, omnivora sejati sekaligus Om-nom-nom-vora alias doyan makan :D

Along the
Sumatra street, there are two fine dining restaurant that I've been wanting to
visit, Isola and De Soematra. At last I've had the chance to dine in Isola,
though this time I've already on a vegetarian diet T_T
Luckily my
sweet dear co blogger is ready to savor every kind of dishes, meat and
everything else :D

Dekor
tempatnya cukup indah, walau sama-sama merangkap dengan showroom untuk
apartment, tapi konsep dan desainnya jauh lebih tertata dibandingkan Dunia
Steak.
Tempat
ini sangat cocok untuk acara valentine, tembak menembak calon pacar, atau untuk
acara lamaran / proposal. Pelayanannya pun cukup ramah dan profesional, setara
dengan resto fine dining lainnya, yang harganya bisa 2-3x lipat dari standard
di sini.
Di
akhir acara makan juga sempat ditanyakan mengenai kesan dan saran untuk
peningkatan kualitas masakannya, sebuah pendekatan personal yang cukup jarang
saya temui di resto di Surabaya.
The place
is lovely, though similar with Dunia
Steak that occupy the same building with an apartment showroom next door to
the restaurant, this place is refined with a balanced atmosphere. We don't have
the feeling that we're just being packed to a garage or other unused area of
the main building to have some food.
This place
is suitable for romantic occasion, be it a dinner date or a proposal, the
service quality is also top notch, on par with other fine dining restaurant
that costs 2-3 times more.

Rasa
hidangannya cukup enak, terutama untuk pastanya. Pizzanya sendiri lumayan enak
untuk penggemar keju, tapi menurut saya sedikit terlalu banyak keju, dan saya
lebih suka pizza yang crustnya tidak setipis di sini, tapi untuk selera co
blogger saya, rasanya enak.
Berhubung
Briseis, co blogger saya berharap cita rasa bebek panggang barat, sempat agak
mengganjal saat tahu rasa saus untuk Petto d'Anatra Con Salsa-nya sedikit
bercitara rasa masakan Cina. Tapi selain hal tersebut, kualitas rasanya cukup
ok.
The dishes
here are delicious, specially the pasta. The pizza is fine, loaded with cheese,
which is a plus for someone who adores them, but for me it's a bit to much. The
pizza crust / dough here are a bit thin, which makes the pizza taste crunchy
like a cracker, I myself like the crust to be a wee bit thicker, where the
consistency is still like bread, though with a crunch, and I don't mind some
burnt and caramelized crust.

Untuk
yang suka makan, setiap hari Senin - Kamis Pk 16.00 - 21.00 di Isola ada promo
untuk all you can eat Pizza & Pasta, harganya dibandrol hanya Rp 75.000 /
orang, dan mendapat satu gelas Mocktail.
Untuk
kelas resto ini, harga yang ditawarkan amat menggoda, mengingat satu pizza dan
pasta berkisar Rp 40.000 - Rp 80.000 dan mocktailnya sekitar Rp 35.000.
For those
who gorging on all you can eat fare, here's a nice proposition for you, all you
can eat pizza and pastas for just Rp 75.000, and it's include a mocktail.
It's quite
a bargain for their standards, a pasta and pizza dish usually costs Rp 40.000 -
Rp 80.000, and the mocktails are around Rp 35.000
