Igor Bakery - Chicken Meat Block

Minggu lalu saya mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menghadiri undangan food tasting dari Igor. Ini pertama kali saya mampir di Igor cabang Bukit Darmo Golf, berhubung ada cabang Biliton yang jauh lebih dekat dari kantor.

Last week I had the chance to attend Igor's food tasting event. It's the first time I went to their branch in Bukit Darmo Golf which is in the far western part of Surabaya, since there's the Biliton branch of Igor, which is much closer to where I work.

Posisi bakery Igor ini ada di kompleks ruko yang bersebelahan dengan Lenmarc Mall. Tempatnya cukup nyaman, bersebelahan dengan CTBC Bank yang sudah tutup saat sore waktu kita berkunjung.

This Igor Bakery is located in Ruko Bukit Darmo Golf, which is next to Lenmarc Mall. The area is quite cozy, not to crowded, and situated next to CTBC bank, which is already closed by the time we arrived. More parking space for  us :D.

Igor Bakery - Ginger Ice Drink

Begitu masuk kita disambut dengan minuman jahe dingin yang segar, rasanya hanya pedas sedikit, tapi aroma jahenya tetap terasa.

We were greeted with an ice ginger drink, which is quite refreshing. It's similar to traditional beverages found in Surabaya, rather than the sugary taste of Ginger Ale.

Igor Bakery - Milano Stick with Tuna Spread

Ini snack yang kita coba saat pertama datang, Milano Stick, yang berupa bread stick, diberi cocolan Krim & Tuna. Rasanya enak, antara kerenyahan Bread Stick dan rasa sausnya yang creamy menjadikan citarasanya pas.

Here's the first snack we tried, Milano Stick, which is a bread stick, served with a nice dipping, Tuna Spread. It compliments each other nicely the crunchiness of breadstick combined with creamy savory taste of the tuna spread.

Chicken Meat Block - Single Portion 

Menu utama yang disajikan saat itu adalah Chicken Meat Block with Mushroom Sauce. Cita Rasanya cukup berbeda dengan Saucjis Brood atau Meat Pie yang menggunakan daging sapi, di sini digunakan daging ayam yang lembut, jadi tidak terasa gamey. Ditambah lagi dengan saus krim dan jamur, semakin menghilangkan bau daging.

The main dish were Chicken Meat Block with Mushroom Sauce. This dish was the star of the event, everyone loves them. It tastes nothing like the popular Saucjis Brood or Meat Pie that uses lots of beef, the chicken stuffing tastes velvety and subtle, doesn't taste gamey at all. Complimenting it with the mushroom sauce makes it much less gamey, it's like eating a cream soup.

Terakhir untuk dessertnya kita mencoba trio cake dan macaroon coklat, Opera Cake nya menggunakan dark Chocolate, jadi cocok untuk penggemar rasa mantapnya dark Choco.

Last on the menu, we tried their trio dessert, which consists of Opera, Sacher and Macaroon, all with Chocolate flavors. The Opera Cake is made with dark chocolate, which makes it my favorite.
