Di Surabaya banyak kafe dengan citarasa unik dan menarik, tapi biasanya hanya bisa ditemukan di dalam Mall, atau kebanyakan di daerah Barat kota Surabaya. Kali ini ada pilihan baru yang menggabungkan kafe dengan tempat makan yang cukup mumpuni, dan lokasinya ada di pusat kota.

Surabaya have many upcoming cafes that is both interesting in ambiance and serving up nice offerings. Those cafes usually tend to be located inside in malls or the Western part of Surabaya. Today we have a nice alternative in the city center, a cafe that also doubles as an eatery, serving coffee and comfort foods.

Kafe satu ini pencahayaannya cukup baik dan terang, saat kunjungan kita menjelang sore, sehingga cocok untuk penggemar foto baik foto makanan maupun foto portret bersama teman.

This Cafe is nicely decorated and well lit, so it's ideal for the shutterbugs. Weather your favorite photo taking objects are food or portrait, you'll be having a great time taking them here.

 Pilihan makanannya di sini cukup komplit, yang saya sempat coba sendiri adalah Beef Ribs, Singaporean Ox Tounge dan beberapa pilihan mienya. Semuanya cukup enak tapi favorit saya pribadi adalah Singaporean Ox Tounge nya yang empuk dengan saos yang menggoda.

They have a vast selections of dishes you can try, we sampled the Beef Ribs, Singaporean Ox Tounge and some noodles dishes. All were quite nice but my personal favorite were the Singaporean Ox Tounge, which is succulant, juicy and accompanied with delicious sauce.

Selain menyediakan makanan dengan porsi yang lumayan & lezat, di sini kopinya pun layak diapresiasi. Menggunakan biji kopi unik merk Goldcaff, rasanya tidak kalah dibandingkan biji kopi favorit saya lainnya.
Akhir-akhir ini semakin banyak kafe yang menyajikan biji kopi blended / single origin yang bisa dibeli pengunjung, pionernya Excelso, disusul Kopi O yang sekarang juga menyediakan biji Kolasi Toraja yang nikmat, sedangkan Goldcaff sendiri merupakan blend dari beberapa jenis kopi Arabika.

Apart from serving up delicious and hearty dishes, this place also have a delicious tasting coffee, made with Goldcaff beans. 

Lately big cafe chain are providing beans for their customer to purchase, Excelso being the pioneer and than followed by Kopi O, serving the bold Kalosi Toraja beans that I love. This Goldcaff bean from Brother Union Eatery is blended from various Arabica beans.

Brother Union Surabaya - Watermelon Cake

Karena satu lokasi dengan Holland Bakery, tentunya untuk urusan cake dan pastry mendapat support dari bakerynya. Kita sempat mencoba beberapa cake di sini, harganya amat reasonable dan rasanya cukup enak. Cake favorit kita adalah watermelon cake nya di atas, bisa dinikmati dengan Cotton Candy Frappe yang sama-sama pink, minuman non kopi favorit kita. Untuk Cotton Candy beveragenya ada yang blended dan ada juga yang latte, kita lebih cocok dengan yang blended.

Since Brother Union Eatery sits in the second level of Holland Bakery, it's no wonder they have a backing from the big sister downstair. Their cake and pastry have the signature Holland Bakery taste which is quite unique. Price reasonably and tasting nice, our favorite were the Watermelon Cake which has a pink hues, nicely combined with the also pink, Cotton Candy Frappe (be sure not to mistaken it with the latte, which we weren't so fond of)

Brother Union Eatery untuk kita cukup menyenangkan tempatnya, dengan harga yang tidak terlalu tinggi dan kualitas makanan yang ok. Lokasinya pun cukup mudah dijangkau karena berada di tengah kota.

We have a lovely time here, and we're sure gonna be coming back often since it's nicely located, reasonably priced without sacrificing on food quality.
