Morning Glory Restaurant - Hoi An, Vietnam

Morning Glory Restaurant

On our first night in ancient city Hoi An, we tried the Morning Glory restaurant. Considering the place was also doubles as a cooking class for those who wants to learn making traditional Vietnamese Dish. We figured since it also teaches cooking, the food would have to taste good.

The design of the place is pretty unique, once you enter the front door in the above photo, we can immediately see their kitchen which is placed right in front of their restaurant dining area. Patrons of the place can enjoy their meal while also feast their eyes on the cooking process.
Since I was dining in their second floor, I don't know if

The restaurant is designed with natural airflow for cooling the building, with only using fan to aid it. This is a big plus for me since it's quite environmentally friendly without making the guest feels discomfort.
On the other hand, was a bit baffled looking at the open kitchen that didn't have any additional airways to dissipate the heat from the beam and second story floor.
Just hoping that the next few years when I come back to Hoi An, the place will still hold together hehe..

Mengikuti kebiasaan resto barat, di sini disediakan roti untuk mengganjal perut selama menunggu hidangannya tiba.

A nice extra touch for a Vietnamese restaurant, taking example from their western counterpart, complimentary bread is served for the guest here.

The food tastes great, this Cao Lau was what I ordered. It tastes light but delicious, unlike ramen which broth is so thick and heavy, this one is just right for my taste.

A day earlier my friend ordered one in the hotel we stayed, here's the link of the post : http://www.foodgrapher.com/2012/12/hoi-sunshine-hotel-review.html
