Budget Hotel & Nice Restaurant

Max One Hotel adalah salah satu hotel bintang 3 terbaru di daerah wisata kuliner Surabaya, jalan Tidar. Walau termasuk hotel budget dan dikelilingi banyak resto legendaris, hotel satu ini cukup percaya diri untuk menyajikan tempat makan di dalam hotel dengan menu yang berbeda, Open Oven Bistro, yang akan dibahas di post lain.

Max One hotel is a new and upcoming three star hotels in the center for culinary destination of Surabaya City. Located in Jalan Tidar, this hotel is surrounded with popular eateries, but that didn't deter them from serving a unique restaurant inside their hotel, Open Oven Bistro, which I'll be detailing in the near future.

Max One Hotels - Surabaya - Welcome Drink

Saat menunggu check in, tamu bisa langsung menikmati welcome drink yang disediakan di tengah lobby-nya. Tidak perlu menunggu dilayani, bisa langsung ambil sendiri sesuai selera. Di lobby juga tersedia komputer Mac untuk yang ingin update social media atau mengecek pekerjaan.

While waiting for your room, you can help yourself to their welcome drink station, right in the lobby center. There's also a Mac computer ready for use should you need to update your social media or check on work.

Kreatifitas hotel satu ini cukup tinggi, bisa dilihat dari status kamarnya. Kalau biasanya disediakan gantungan di handle pintu yang isinya 'do not disturb' atau 'please make up room', kali ini disediakan penanda yang lebih lucu.

There's plenty of creativity in this hotel, weather it's in the design or the small details such as this door sign. Instead of the regular "do not disturb" and such signs, you get a funnier one, in English and Javanese.

Kamar hotelnya tidak terlalu besar, tapi tatanannya cantik dan cukup nyaman. Yang unik di showernya ada tempat duduknya. Ranjangnya cukup besar dan suasana kamarnya cukup tenang walaupun di jalan raya, tidak sampai terdengar suara lalu lalang mobil yang mengganggu.

The hotel room isn't that big, but it's beautifully decorated and comfortable. What's unique about it is there's a seat in the shower. The bed is also big and fluffy, and the room is decently sound proofed. I'm not bothered at all by the traffic sounds, unlike some other hotel in the same class which usually doesn't put much attention on this issue

Makan pagi di sini biasanya disediakan, saat saya cek di Agoda, harga kamar termurah per malam ada discount, hanya sekitar US$ 25 termasuk makan pagi.
Mengingat harganya yang cukup terjangkau, saya jadi maklum dengan makan paginya yang (menurut selera saya) cukup kontras kalau dibandingkan kualitas makan malamnya, di tempat yang sama Open Oven Bistro.

Breakfast here are usually included in your room rate. Last I checked in Agoda, it only costs about US$25 for staying here, with breakfast provided.

Taking note that the price is really affordable, I'm quite satisfied with the breakfast provided. Even though it's miles apart when compared to the ala carte / dinner menu (for my taste), which we had in the same place, Open Oven Bistro.

Walau kualitasnya cukup berbeda dengan makan ala carte / makan malamnya, tapi kualitasnya cukup ok kok. Tidak ada yang rasanya parah, atau tidak enak, cukup nikmat untuk ukuran hotel bintang tiga.

Though there's a stark difference in quality when comparing the breakfast to the dinner / ala carte, the overall breakfast quality is quite nice. There's nothing particularly good though, but it's still enjoyable for this kind of lodging.
