Gourmet Burger in The Quaint Brussel

Ellis Gourmet Burger ini lokasinya ada di jalan Sint-Katelijneplein, di sekitarnya ada banyak resto-resto yang juga cukup menarik, salah satunya Kombijma di sebelahnya menjual masakan khas belgia. Karena masih termasuk awal perjalanan, kita masih belum PD apakah makanan daerah akan cocok dengan selera kita, jadi pilihan akhirnya ke Ellis Burger.

Ellis Gourmet Burger is located in Sint-Katelijneplein street. Along the street there are other eateries that's also seems popular. One of them is Kombijma which serves traditional Belgian cuisine. We were still on our early trip and wasn't really sure if the taste would suit our taste-bud, so we decided to go with Ellis Burger.

Dari depan sudah terlihat panjangnya antrian hingga keluar restoran, kita sempat berpikir bakal lama menunggu di sini, tapi ternyata tidak butuh waktu lama sudah diantar masuk ke dalam.

Kita mendapatkan meja di lantai dua, saat perjalanan ke atas saya sempatkan untuk mengambil satu foto yang memperlihatkan tempat makannya di lantai satu.

There's a long line of people queuing to get a table here, we thought it would be a long night on this line, it turns out the queue were pretty swift. We only waited for 5 minutes before getting a table on the second floor.

On our way up I shot a photo to capture the lively eatery.

Lantai duanya relatif lebih lengang dan tempat duduknya pun lebih besar, karena tidak berbagi tempat dengan bar dan dapur seperti di lantai pertama. Dindingnya penuh dengan hiasan foto. Kalau disuruh memilih saa masih lebih suka suasana di lantai dua dibanding lantai pertamanya.

The second floor doesn't share space with the kitchen nor bar, so it feels more spacious compared to the ground floor. There's some photos and simple decoration on the wall.

I like the second floor dining area better.

Ellis Special Bacon ini hadir lengkap dengan beragam sayuran, acar / pickles, beef patty yang empuk tapi mantap dan bacon babi.

This Ellis Burger is served complete with vegetables, pickles, bacon and the succulent juicy patty.

Rasa burgernya cukup enak, dengan rasa bumbu yang pas dan cara masaknya pas banget. Dimasak dengan medium rare, bagian luarnya ada grill mark  yang menambah rasa sekaligus tampilan menarik.

What makes this burger especially nice is the Beef Patty, which is seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection. It was grilled until medium rare, with tasty grill mark that adds to both it's taste and appearance. 

Ellis Gourmet Burger - Louise Cheese (€ 9)

Pertamanya agak kecewa saat melihat hidangan satu ini, saya kira bakal mendapat burger, ternyata roti panggang. Saat membaca menu, judulnya adalah "Tribute Burger" tapi ternyata Louise ini menggunakan toast bukan burger bun untuk rotinya.

At first it was kind of a let down to see this dish, was expecting a burger bun instead of toast. The title was Tribute Burger but the small print does mention toast.

Oh well, I did enjoy the taste of this dish. That being said, I like the Ellis Burger better.
