La Rucola, salah satu Italian Restaurant yang cukup tenar, terletak di tengah kota Surabaya, jalan Polisi Istimewa / Dr Soetomo. Di sekitar jalan Polisi Istimewa ini terdapat banyak resto Italia yang cukup tenar, selain La Rucolla ada juga Casa Fontana dan Antica Osteria. Ketiganya memiliki kualitas yang mirip dengan penggemarnya masing-masing.
La Rucola is one of the prominent Italian Restaurant in Surabaya. Located in the city center in Polisi Istimewa or formerly known as Dr Soetomo Street. In the nearby vicinity there are other equally good Italian restaurants like Casa Fontana and Antica Osteria, all of them are equally good and each have their own loyal clientele, which can make it a heated discussion when my culinary lovers friends are deciding where to go on weekend dinner.

Masalah dekor, tempat ini termasuk menarik, pencahayaannya cukup ok, kalau malam temaram tapi tidak segelap resto lain. Berhubung biasanya ke resto-reto Italia ini beramai-ramai, jadi lebih suka yang tidak terlalu gelap, lebih butuh pencahayaan ok dibanding suasana romantis nan gelap :)
This restaurant in my opinion is the most attractive amongst Italian restaurants in this area. It's still has the typical Mediterranean feel you'd find in almost every Italian restaurant here, with a bit of tropical twist.

On this afternoon one of our lunch companion is a vegetarian, so we decided to order two vegetarian pizzas, which tastes quite delicious. Thin italian style pizza crust has always been my preference, which they happen to serve here. Would've been better if they put a bit more on the topping, the mozzarella cheese was a bit paltry on these two.

Berhubung saya suka rasa spicy, chilli flakes ini adalah salah satu bumbu pendamping wajib saat saya menikmati italian style pizza. Kalau untuk pan pizza ala Amerika, rasanya malah kurang pas kalau pakai condiment satu ini, lebih demen ditumpahin parmesan bubuk banyak-banyak. Sayang pizza hut sudah tidak menyediakan keju bubuk lagi T_T
Like most Surabaya people I like my food spicy, so this chilli flake is one of my fave pizza condiment. Suits well on this thin crusted Italian style pizza, but not so delish on US style pan pizza. I like to put lots of grated Parmesan cheese, which sadly isn't available anymore on our local pizza hut T_T

This trio pasta dish is one of the best of the three menu we tasted. With a combination of two spaghettis and a lasagna, which makes it a good dish for those who can't decide what kind of pasta to order. Don't forget to ask for extra cheese shavings which will compliment the dish nicely.

Maaf, bukannya ingin menyinggung, hehe, tapi ingin tanya saja, apakah ada restoran semacam mediterranian atau italian seperti ini di surabaya yang tergolong halal atau menyediakan menu muslim?, hoho. Habis kalo misalnya bawa anggota keluarga yang berhijab suka gak enak gitu yah diperhatin orang sekitar. Apakah anda pernah melihat orang berhijab yang ikut makan disana?

Deleteyang saya tahu sepertinya hotel Majapahit ada pizza yang halal, tapi terakhir ke sana sudah tidak terlalu enak sih
alternatif lain ada di Happy Puppy karaoke di Darmo Park 2 (Ex supermarket vida)
